Look up from what you are doing and out the window. Do you see a diversity of animals, birds, plants and butterflies thriving in their homes, feeding and breeding areas? Do you see clean, fresh water flowing freely on the Oak Ridges Moraine?
Cast your gaze to the same scene in five, ten or fifteen years. Do you see the march of large homes where trees once grew? Expanses of paved parking lots and driveways interfering with the natural flow of water? Ornamental species competing with natural ones? Are there culverts and catchment ponds doing what open lands of the Moraine used to do?
