ENJOYING THE MORAINE
Despite 90% of the Oak Ridges Moraine being in private ownership there is ample opportunity to explore both through motorized and non-motorized means. To know the moraine is to love it and love it you will as you explore roads and trails up and down the hills of the moraine past lakes, streams, woodlots, wetlands, farm gates and many towns and villages just waiting to welcome you. Along the way you will find museums, historic sites, wineries, bed and breakfast operations, general stores, studios galore, fresh foods, shops and scenic roadside stops. Explore and experience the moraine.
Remember at all times to respect the wildlife, habitat, privacy and homes of all those who live on the moraine whether they are two, four, six or more (or no) legged creatures.
