New Educational Display About the Biodiversity of the Moraine

Announcing our new fundraising campaign!

The Oak Ridges Moraine Land Trust is putting together a permanent educational display about the biodiversity and plants of the moraine. The display will be at a nature reserve in King Township. A former barn at the site has been converted into a meeting/event space and already features displays about the region's agricultural heritage. This new exhibit will be enjoyed by visiting school groups as well as participants in our public outreach events like guided bird walks and moth nights. We're raising money to acquire display cases, custom interpretive signage, as well as items for the display. Help us to inspire the next generation of Ontario's environmental leaders and scientists!

In addition, we're looking for people to donate display cabinets and specimens including fossils, feathers, shells, taxidermy, pelts, and skulls. Please email outreach@oakridgesmoraine.org if you're interested in donating!

A big thanks to everyone who's donated display cabinets and natural history specimens including Phillipa Hajdu, Karen Burrows, Michelle Murphy, Ricky Dunn, Diane Douglas, and Kelly McCallum.
