Aileen Barclay
Director of Conservation and Operations

Aileen is the Director of Conservation and Operations and has been part of the Trust since 2018. She oversees a wide range of local, provincial, and national programs focused on outreach, education, stewardship, monitoring, and land securement. She holds an Honours BSc in Biology from Trent University and has completed additional post‑graduate studies in marketing, advertising, and social psychology.
Throughout her time with the Trust, Aileen has led countless public education initiatives and community events, while also excelling in property stewardship, securement, grant writing, and staff training. A skilled multitasker and an avid birder, she played a key role in launching the Kirtland’s Warbler habitat restoration initiative and continues to drive conservation efforts with expertise, enthusiasm, and dedication.
