Susan Walmer

A Certified Accountant, Sue combines her long-held enthusiasm for community engagement, deep appreciation for Canadian historical context and concern for a healthy environmental future in this challenging position. Her childhood camping trips across Canada strengthened her love of nature and inner peace. This awareness of purpose channeled her actions to lead as a ratepayer association chair during the many public walks and advocacy meetings to establish the long-term protection of the Oak Ridges Moraine. When asked what she does; she replies, “I help people’s dreams come true by protecting land forever.” The main programs of the Land Trust protect and stewards environmentally sensitive lands for future generations.
